A superb Empire style silver-gilt figural jardinière by Keller Frères shaped as a boat with magnificent swans at each end and ornamented on either side with pairs of cornucopiae, swags and anthemion motifs

The firm of Keller Frères is recorded as making leather toilet articles in 1857 but by 1880 were making their name as silver manufacturers. They took part in many important French exhibitions as well as those abroad.
