A wonderful pair of Empire patinated and gilt bronze figural five-light candelabra, each formed as an Egyptian herm, holding four candle-branches with mask-heads and supporting the fifth socket upon her head, the beautiful female torso upon a square tapering stem with an applied flaming winged torch to the front and mask-heads to the sides, her feet upon a square pedestal ornamented with alternate lyres and Egyptian heads against palmettes, on a square base with stiff leaf band,

 

Paris, date circa 1805-15.

Height 70cm, width 27cm. each.

The bases 15cm. x 15cm. each.
