A very high quality and rare Empire gilt bronze and brass and "Vert de Mer" marble pendule "A L'Aigle", signed on the white enamel dial, Verneuil Jeune / HGER MECANICIEN (active on the Rue du Contrat Social between 1806 and 1815), and dated on the spring 1808.
Fine enamel dial, featuring the hours in Roman numerals and the minutes in Arabic numerals, and small dial for the seconds. 3 steel hands. Movement with anchor escapement, striking the 1/2-hour on bell. 
 
Paris, dated 1808.
