A superb 8 day mahogany brass mounted chronometer with engraved silvered dial, Roman numerals, and five minute marking, signed on the dial Harris late Hatton & Harris London 658, fine blued steel hands and subsidiaries for power reserve and seconds, spring-driven fusee and chain movement of 8-day duration, subfame with Earnshaw's detend escapement, bi-metallic compensated balance with helical spring, brass case with a concave sided mahogany top surmounted by a brass urn finial, at the back a shutter engraved "Wind up to the left hand every week" fine mahogany base with recessed panel and break arch moulded bottom, raised on brass bracket feet.
